My fiancé and I met Jay & Kyle at their office in St. Armands Circle. We introduced ourselves and shared our objectives. Sounds simple, but Jay did more than just listen; he understood who we were & what we wanted. Intuitive comprehension is a must as far as a character trait goes in a realtor, but very hard to ascertain. We were a full year away from our move to Florida. There were many variables to work through, but Jay gave us access to his resources and we searched for almost a year. We arrived in June of 2017 and Jay accommodated our interests. He set-up opportunities for us to visit our picks; sounds simple.
I don’t claim to be an expert by any means, and that’s exactly why I needed Jay Mitchell. I have bought and sold several properties in my lifetime and our interests were quite modest compared to the properties Jay & Kyle have helped sell and buy for more affluent clients. However, never once did we feel, “less-than” around Jay & Kyle. They treated us like we were good neighbors. Once we found the property we wanted, Jay assisted in our purchase in every way I could have imagined. And, even more so in the finite intricacies of the small print one encounters in purchasing a home. Jay had assembled a skilled group of individuals that each played a specific role in our purchase. This was not your average network of professionals. Jay and Kyle have honed their team over many years of their practice. Jay was directly responsible for including language in our purchase agreement that was overlooked by the seller. A member of his team (our team) caught a checked box in the fine print of the contract and that little oversight was worth about $10,000 to us. In aggregate with other reductions negotiated, it could have been a deal breaker, but Jay listened. I came-up w/an angle to counter and Jay sold it. It was a compromise, but it was Jay that made it work. Yes, the seller was not real happy, but he sold his property. And, we acquired the property we wanted at a greatly reduced amount from the original price. What more could one ask for in a realtor?
